  • NTFS Directory Permissions

    Hi!

Is it possible, to scan all Folders (NOT files) of a w2k-fileserver and list the corresponding NTFS access permissions (which groups are able to read / write / execute...) and owners?
Because there are pretty much files on the webserver (>100 GB) it's important for me to get an easy readable output, to import it in an access database...
Maybe you know another tool which is more suitable...
I already tried e.g. AccessEnum (www.sysinternals.com) which is almost perfect but unfortunately it lists also the files and therefore takes much too much time to scan the webserver...

    thank you in advance!

    Re: NTFS Directory Permissions

Either Hyena or Exporter Pro (included with Hyena) can do this for you.

In Hyena you can right-click on the share or shares you want this information on and choose View NTFS Security. There you will see checkboxes to Show Owner and View Directories Only.
