run task mgr on remote machine

Is it possible to run Task Manager on a remote machine with Hyena? I have been trying to get it to work with PsExec but cannot so far...

No, task manager is a local-only program. You can run winmsd and connect to a remote computer, or use Hyena's WMI Win32_perfformatted_data_... or Win32_process class to view the remote processes, etc. You can also use WMI to terminate a remote process too if you do it through the Win32_process class (right click on a process in the right window).

I am looking to try and get something that I can actually see the performance screen with the processor and memory etc.. Do you know of anything else that would accomplish this?

If you are looking for the fancy graph, no, this would require a 3rd party product (I think). But if you just want the data, either of the other two options should give you what you want, but I think you have to refresh it manually. Hyena also have a performance view through the performance library, which does refresh. Its the Process Performance object under any computer.

Another possible option might be to remote control the computer. From there you should be able to run Task Manager or just about anything you want on the computer.

Correct me if I am not reading this correctly but why don't you simply use performance monitoring and connect to that computer for the things you are looking for?

I was looking to get something that I could use for everything and to have all data displayed simultaneously for my servers. I went ahead and purchased Remote Task Manager, it seems to be exactly what I was looking for.
