  • AD intergration

    Hi,
I am a Windows Sys Admin and I am going to start working from home. At home I have Windows XP Pro that is in a workgroup. I login to my PC and then dialin to a secure VPN. I am having trouble connecting to the domain I administer with Hyena. I connect through LDAP. Windows seems to pass whatever you login as as the authenication, like in IIS when it passes your credentials through IE. So everytime I try to connect to a domain with Hyena it gives me an access denied because it is passing my home login account and not my network account. I'm sure I'm not the only one working from home, is there anyway to work arround this. I couldn't find any place to enter my work login credentials and I couldn't think of or
find any work arrounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

    Re: AD intergration

Doing a Run-as seems to work, I am still open to suggestions if there is an easier way than to run-as everytime.
    Thanks

      Re: AD intergration

Windows has extremely poor support for applications to perform their own authentication as each interface (AD, WMI, everything else) works differently.

Technically, Microsoft whats you to use Run As whenever possible so that you are not always logged on under and admin account.

You might also be able to use the same username/password combination on the domain as your normal user logon account to see if that works.
