changing fields for many computers at once

Hi, first time here, very new with Hyena.

using mmc AD app I am able to change the description field of many workstations at the same time to the same value. they have a special check box for that when you open properties for multiple selected computers.

but I would like to be able to change the Location field for many PCs at once in a similar way. mmc cannot do this near as I can tell. and when I multi-select computers in Hyena, the 'properties' dialog is no longer available in context menu.

Unfortunately you won't be able to do this with Hyena either. We do have future plans to add options for changing AD information for multiple objects, but I'm not sure what the timeline will be.

This request is going to be the #1 priority for the next version for any AD object. Join our beta group by sending a blank email to [email protected]. We hope to have this functionality by the end of April for testing.

Thanks, that is good news. I will wait to get my hands on the next version. I am sure I can come up with many new ideas too! Even so, Hyena has been a very good complement to my toolbox of remote admin products.
