  • Creating custom queries and modifying default queries

    Hi,

I can't quite out how to specify criteria for any queries - for example, I'd like to modify the default query for the All Users node so that it does not display disabled user accounts, but I don't seem to be able to specify avalue or state for various attributes or properties.

Is this currenly possible, and if so, how do I go about it?

    Thanks in advance.

Queries allow you to hide/show various fields, but not to specify filter criteria. You would need to run the query, then use the filtering options in Hyena for this. You can use the Find/Filter option under the Edit menu, or the Filter icon on the toolbar.

So I can't do it. Fair enough. Can this go in your suggestions box, then?

Re: Creating custom queries and modifying default queries

The problem has been that the syntax for doing this at the Microsoft function that we use for making AD queries is very complex and hard to understand. So, my fear has always been that it would be a support problem as users try to use this function and create a query that won't work, etc.

But I'll revisit this issue again.

        Thanks for the suggestion.
