I am a computer auditor, looking to use Exporter Pro to download a snapshot of groups, users, settings etc etc. How can I convince the systems administrator of a site (single domain, in the NT sense,of perhaps 500 users that this will not affect the safe running of their network). They are using W2003

Well, Exporter Pro is a reporting-only utility. Meaning that it can't make any changes even if it wanted to. When you run Exporter Pro, it will query the selected objects (computers, domain controllers, etc)for the requested information and put those results into a delimited text file.

Some data-intensive queries might cause a slight performance drain on a servers, but this is easily fixed by requesting less data in your reports, or running fewer reports at the same time.
