How Do I.. Configure Hyena for An Open LDAP Database

Can Hyena Connect to a LDAP environment other than Active Directory? Say IBM LDAP or NETSCAPE LDAP? I can configure it to show the environment, but I can not force a user and password ..

No, Hyena can't manage other LDAP environments because while an application can get data from LDAP dynamically, calling the functions to do anything on the data is another story as those are specific to each platform, directory and operating system.

Basically, with respect to LDAP, Hyena is an Active Directory management utility only. This is not so much by design in Hyena, but rather how LDAP is designed.

If LDAP and Active Directory, etc. were designed more like WMI, then its possible that a truly dynamic "do anything" application could be developed.
