Utility to close active file connections

We need a program that can be scheduled to run on a server that will close all existing connections to a specified file. We can do it easily via Hyena but have a situation where this happens regularly and we'd like to be able to schedule this. Unfortunately this schedule doesn't coincide with our server reboot schedule.
