I want to change the file permissions on some directories remotely - is this possible ?

You can do this by expanding the remote computer in Hyena and choosing Shares. Find the directory you want to modify, then right-click and choose Properties. From there you can go to the Security tab and make the changes you need.

You'd have to create a script of some sort for that as Hyena can't do NTFS changes on multiple computers at once.

You can look at NTSEC from Pedestal Software, or Security Explorer from Small Wonders.

The above assumes these directories are on NTFS partitions.
