I need to report the membership of about 40 groups in my local OU for an auditor. I know how to see them and copy them individually, but this is painful. I will have to do this fairly regularly. I spent the whole day trying to use Exporter, but the data I get back is not very complete no matter what i do.(I used the recently patched version). I have about 100 users scattered over these local groups. How do I get a report to show who is in each of the groups without doing them individually?

Re: How to report group memberships
Probably the best solution for these would be to enable the OU Filtering Toolbar and select Traverse through all containers and Groups.
Double-click on the top-level OU above the OUs that have these groups so they are displayed in the right window. In the right window you can select the groups you want the members for, then right-click and choose View Group Members.
If you don't see the OU Filtering Toolbar go to Tools->Settings GUI and check the box to enable it.

Re: How to report group memberships
For a Windows 2000 domain, you can double-click on All Groups (for example) to display the groups in the right window. Select the groups in the right window then right-click and choose View Group Members.
When that finishes displaying the information will be sorted by user, so you can look through the list and see which groups each user belongs to.
