Change DCOM password

Hi,

Do anyone have an idea how i could change the password of the launching user in the DCOM? I am asking because i have to make several changes on a lot of machines and try not to run to every of them and change the password by dcomcnfg...

So if you have any idea where they are stored or how i could change them by a script ore something - > post it!

PS: It seems that the classes are stored in the registry:
HCR\AppID\{AppID}
I also found an key named RunAS(REG_SZ) with the launching user but i have not found the password...

I would love to know if there is any way toi audit/modify DCOM server settings on remote PCs as well..

Any thoughts on this? Is there anything that can be done with DCOM servers remotely in Hyena?

I don't think so. MIcrosoft rarely places a password in a way that it can be remotely viewed or changed.

Ok, makes sense. There is a tool on the market that can do this remotely (COM Manager or something like that). So it CAN be done....

I know they don't use an agent or anything. But I don't know any details past that.

No big deal. We'll live without it.
