  • Change the default view in the right pane

Ok, here is a winner. I am able to find the query field and add the pre 2K display name. But that does not change the default view in Hyena's right pane. I would like to be able to open the OU on the left and the users in the right pane would show the pre 2K display as well as the standard directory name and stuff.

I am able to right click the OU on the left now and choose Tabular view. This now gives me that other column (pre 2K). Is there a way to make this view default?

Which query did you modify, and what steps did you take to view it?

File, Manage, clicked on the queries tab. Selected the query type of container/ou and choose the second one(display format Tubular). Added Pre 2k and clicked ok.

Use the same steps, but choose the first query with the Listing display format.

                AEV:

We were working with Queries under File->Manage Object View->Queries.

You can add and remove fields from various views using this.

What are you wanting to change?

I was wanting to get both the comment and the description for any given server or workstation.

I'm trying to do this as well when viewing the SERVERS parent tree Item i' presented with: Computer Name, Comment, Type, and Domain...

I'd like to Add to this view the Comment Filed as this is what is also displajed whe I view machines under the AD> OS object they are presented under ... but having searched thru it doen't seem like the default View for servers is modifiable. Can someone help.

Unfortunately there is no way to modify the view you get when looking at the Servers object. This comes from a query to your Windows Browse List and is limited to the fields that you see now.
