  • Rename Local Admin Account on Multiple Servers

I am looking for an easier way to rename the local Admin account on Multiple Servers at one time without having to remote into each one. Any help on this subject would greatly be appriciated.

    Thanks
    Brad

There's no built-in way to rename multiple users at once, but you might try using a command line utility for this from a batch file. If you are doing this to NT computers, you can use our free utility called RenameUser at: http://www.systemtools.com/free_frame.htm

If it is 2000, then search around and see if you can find one that works with 2000.

Actually, I have a rather large 2000 domain, I had looked at the tool you recomended however it said it is not a good Idea to use it under win2K. I appriciate your feedback.

I've created a script to do just this.

Please see the thread (at the bottom):
