  • Adding Global group to Local Group

    Good Afternoon,

I am running into difficulties in adding a global group to a local group en mass. I can do this on a one by one basis using group properties - but I need to do so for multiple machines.

When I bring up the Add/Remove Group Member window I enter Administrators as the Local Group name and DOMAIN\Global Group as the group to add. Nothing happens.

The Global groups have spaces in the names, is this going to cause issue? If so, is there a workaround?

    Best Wishes,
    The Reverend Shayne Dark

When you go to the Add/Remove dialog, click the Settings button and make sure the Skip Offline Computers is UNchecked.

If it is checked, uncheck it and try adding the member again.

      Good Afternoon,

To drop into an unaccustomed vernacular.

      "You 'da man!"

That works perfectly - as we hide all members of the domain, all machines appear to be offline.

      Thanks for the quick response.
