  • permissions / add user

I log onto my own XP machine and use pass through authentication to move between 2 domains.

Using HYENA to manage the 2 domains I'm having a problem. I want to give permissions to a user and I keep getting this message.

"The following error occurred while using the user name (admin\nyates) and password you entered:
Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all pervious connections to the server or shared resource and try again."

What can you tell me about this? Even if I reboot and go straight to HYENA I get this message trying to change permissions on a folder.

    Thanks
    ~Norm

    Re: permissions / add user

By pass-through authentication do you mean that you have an account in each domain with the same username and password as you are logged in with?

This error sounds like maybe you have a mapped drive or something using a different username/password.

Please provide more information on how you have this configured.

Yes - my username and password is the same on both domains and my workstation.

I have no mapped drives at all.

I have tried the "Logon as" to each server and still get the same error.

If I log onto one of the domains (I haven't tried the other) I can add users in the permissions area of a file or folder.

Can you be logged into your local machine and have Hyena manage domains?

Any other thoughts on what might be wrong?

      Thanks

We're not sure what might be different about your environment that's keeping this from working, so send your phone number to [email protected] and we'll call you to see if we can figure this out.
