  • Extract or print workstation information

Hello, I am demoing Hyena and so far I am very impressed with it functionality. I would however like to be able to export information or write reports from it.
I currently want a workstation report that list the systems processor type, speed, and physical memory. I see that Hyena can show all this infromation in the workstation properties but I need to be able to print this info out. I have poked around in the software and queries but am not sure how to proceed.
Thanks for any info, this is great software that I think I will never want to be without now that I have seen it.

Unfortunately, this can't be done at this time.

We are planning a major reporting upgrade for the next (v5.0) release that should allow for this.

Bummer! Thanks for the quick response. Will the upgrade be flexible as far as being able to confugure custom reports based on any information Hyena can aquire?
What is the ETA of Version 5? Any Beta code to test?

Re: Extract or print workstation information

You can join the v5.0 beta list by sending an empty email to [email protected].

But the new reporting features won't be part of v5.0, but we do plan to work on them soon. The reporting features will actually be external from Hyena but still integrated in. So, in general, expect the new reporting options to be part of Hyena v5.1, but also downloadable as a seperate product as well, just like our Exporter utility.

Cool, any time line on the report module?

No, no time line. Everytime I think I have one, something gets in the way. But being on the beta list will ensure that you find out about it before anyone else. And, after the release of v5.0 (which is about done with development), reporting changes is our #1 priority.
