  • Win 98 clients

When I installed Hyena, it listed and allowed me to view info about every PC/Server on my network, now I can only see non-Win9x clients, also the 'type' in the r/hand pane states 'unknown' for all visible client workstations - but it does recognise the servers as servers. Any ideas?

    Re: Win 98 clients

Hyena gets the list of Win 9.x computers, and the online/offline status from the Windows browse list.

It sounds like something has happened either on your computer on your network that has affected browsing. I would start with your computer first to see if something there has changed.

Thanks for the pointer, we tried out one or two things on the network, and part of that involved changing my IP, WINS & DNS addresses and changing the binding orders on the NICs on the servers - I could not see any faults immediately in the set up, (but that doesn't mean there was any) and when we reset them - everything reappeared.
