  • Problem getting the right information from AD.

I don't know if it is the right forum for this but I'm asking my questions anyway.

I have a big problem getting the right information from the domain controller in the AD.
I have written the ADSI path as it should be and the ADSI server. The OU information seems to be correct
but the user information is totally wrong. For instance, when I click on all users I can only see
47 of them and we have 5500 users in the AD. The other thing is when I take user properties on
a user it says that the account is disabled. That is on any account in every OU. And the profile information is empty
and the connections for the home drive as well.

We have an other AD domain but in that one there is no such problems.

    I'm running Hyena v4.3

Any one got an idea what could be wrong?

This sounds like a permission issue. Active Directory has a 'feature' where it will hide user accounts automatically from you if you don't have the rights to view them. The missing information on the accounts also can come from the same problem. For starters, try removing the ADSI Server field, as its not needed. Check your trust and account information to make sure that you have full admin rights, etc. on the domain that is causing you problems.

Let us know what you find.

You wore absolutely right. It was a permission issue. The enterprise admin changed some things and now everything works flawlessly.
      Thanks for your help!
