newbie, be gentle. When I try to expand a list of computers in a domain that I had to add manually, I get an error that says "unable to list computers. the list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available". When I 'ok' this message, it then brings up a list of the computers in this domain, but they are all grayed out, and you obviously can't do anything to them. It is a 2000 domain. It is version 4.3 of Hyena. Sorry if I am leaving something out or posting this in the wrong place.

Re: Error accessing list of computers
Since you are getting a list of computers (greyed out), this means that the domain name or path has been entered correctly. I assume from the error that you entered it as a Windows domain, which means Hyena will treat it as an NT domain. Here are some things to consider:
For an NT (Windows domain), Hyena uses the browse list to get a list of all computers and servers. This error indicates that the browse list is not available. Check your Netbios over tcp settings, etc. You should be able to still manage the computers even though they are greyed out, but there won't be an obvious indicator (color) which ones are online
Since this is a Windows 2000 domain, you could try changing the Object type in Object Manager, and enter LDAP://domainname as the path. This will get you a slightly different set of icons, but the computer listing will no longer use the browse list; the Server listing will still use the browse list, however.
Let us know what you find. Thanks...newbies are always welcome!Kevin Stanush
