Re: Server in server view missing
If you are using Windows 2000, you can move your server entries into a separate OU, and then manage them from there. But with NT, there isn't any (quick) way for an application to know that a computer is a 'server' vs. a 'workstation' unless it looks at the browse list, so a Quick Access (prior to v3.0) or Object Manager grouping is the all around best way to go.

The only solution for this would be to add them to Quick Access or (in newer versions) Object Manager.
Object Manager will allow you to add an Object Grouping and position it at any location on your screen. You can then add your servers to that grouping and have a static list that you can manage them through.

Re: Server in server view missing
We routinely hide servers from the browse list because we feel that users only need to see the servers that contain their home folders and team folders. They don't need to browse to a Lotus Notes server or some other application server. We hide all workstations. Who wants to see 80+ servers and 2000+ workstations in Network Neighborhood?
That brings up my question, is there anyway to force the servers to appear in the tree view other than making them browsable other than quick access? Or is there a way to make quick access appear near the top of the tree window?

The Server information is retrieved from the Windows Browse List. If the servers have been hidden from the browse list, or there is a network issue, they won't show up in there.
For Computers, Hyena is able to get the list of computers from the domain, but if any of those are missing from the browse list Hyena has to assume they are offline.
The solution is to find out why the servers are missing from the browse list.
