How can I "remotely" empty the trash after I have deleted some files?

If you delete files with Hyena remotely on another machine, the files will not be moved to the trash.

Yes, this is correct. Hyena uses Explorer for all file operations, including deletions. Hyena always tells Explorer to "allow undo", but currently Explorer does not support undeleting (emptying the trash can) on remote systems. I don't know what happens with a mapped drive letter, however.

Further versions of Windows may offer better support. I also don't know if this behavior is any different on Windows XP.

Deleting files from a mapped drive results in the file being un-recoverable, both remotely and locally.
