memory dump

my name is Samer, i have installed the Windows Nt workstation 4.0 on my IBM notebook,i was trying my TV-out when i got a blue page and a memory dump, i tried to repair but i need a startup disk...however i have a very important software built into my Windows NT and i need to repair it, not to reinstall...

Hi,

You can reinstall NT on the same drive, but in a different directroy. This way you can boot your computer and possibly repair your original installation.

There are some issues concernning new security IDs, but I *ASS*U*ME that this is a workstation that is not in a domain.

Whether you can repair you old installation or not, at least you can get to your data.
