Re: ... manage remote PPP users ?
If you are unable to get to it by IP address, then I have to assume that RPC is being blocked by something.
Another test you can do is to try to access one of those computers using Server Manager.

Re: ... manage remote PPP users ?
I've tried both the Netbios name as well as its IP address, still no luck.
Another thing, I forgot to mention that I also get the following error when clicking on any item: "Unable to list local groups. The RPC server is unavailable." This is when I got in touch with my Comms. guy(s) as pointed out in my original posting.

This sounds like you might have a name resolution issue on your computer. I would try adding one of these workstations by IP address and see if you can manage it by IP instead of computer name.

... manage remote PPP users ?
Our remote Users connect to our network via an Ascend dial-up box. My Comms. guy tells me that it doesn't block any ports, however when I try to access the remote Users machine using Hyena, I get the following error message:
"Unable to establish IPC$ connection to \\workstation. The network path was not found"
Having said this, I'm able to ping the workstation and send a "NET SEND" message.
Any ideas on what my problem might be?Tags: None
