  • macro-call only for 20 entries

    Hello,
when I try to call a batch-command (extra-tools) there is a limit for 20 entries. In a domain with about 400 WS it would be helpfull to call a batch-command for more than 20 computers. How can I work around that?

Can you give me an example of this? I'm not quite sure what you are wanting to do.

I have a CMD-Batchfile which deletes folders and files on the targetmachines that I'm selecting in the right window. This CMD-Batchfile was called by the Extras-->Properties-->Extras. And when I'm selecting more than 20 machines I got the error-message that this is only possible for 20 machines.

Yes this is limited to 20 items at a time.

A suggestion might be to use the Generate Macro command and create a batch file that would contain all of the machines that you want to run this command against.

You would select your computers in the right window then go to Tools->Generate Macro.

This will create a batch file with a line for each computer that you had selected, and you can just run the batch file to make the changes.

It would be a nice feature when it was possible to choose from a list of (last?) macros.

Thanks for the tip. This is on our list for the next release, along with recall for the last few Find/Filter items too.
