    Copy & Paste

    It doesn't seem to be possible to copy and paste in Hyena ??

    When I have marked a share at the left and choose a map at the right and choose copy, it doesen't seem to be possible to paste this map into another share.

    Or do I have missed something?

    When you right click on a directory, and get the popup context menu, does it have a Paste option, or is the Paste option missing altogether ?

    What version of Hyena are you using ?

      Oops - I found two copy on my shell.

      One under More functions (wich seems to work fine) and one under "Cut" in the shell when you rught click (wich doesn't work)

      I'll use the first one.
      Sorry I didn't see it before questioning.

        Thanks for the reply. I think that this problem is fixed in Hyena v3.0, which we have a release date set for May 1 for.

          When I recently upgraded my installation of Hyena to V2.5.2, the Paste capability seemed to have gone away. Under some conditions I can make the Paste option reappear. I am in the process of trying to figure out what those conditions are.

          If I get especially frustrated, I jump over to the Windows Explorer to perform Copy/Past operations. This same behaviour seemed to happen with one of your earlier versions. Will this bug be corrected in V3.0?

            Yes, this should be fixed in v3.0. We also have a patch that you can download that should fix the problem. The patch is free. Send your email address to [email protected] and they will send you the url to the patch for this.

            fyi, we have no idea why this happens. It seems to be a bug in NT/2000. The menu that you see is returned to us by Explorer, and Hyena just displays the menu. But our workaround forces the copied files onto the clipboard (which is what Explorer is supposed to do..) so everything should be OK with the patch or v3.0.
