  • Scheduling AT commands under different a/c

Is there a way (possibly with some extra software) of setting up multiple AT commands under different accounts on the same machine?

At the moment, the account that starts the schedule service is the one that takes control.

We have a situation where we run a scheduled command on a server but with a quite restricted account. We now want to add another job on this server but the account needs a few more rights.

We dont want to give the original account extra rights/privileges and would ideally like to keep the two separate.

alternatively... is there a way of supplying the credentials with which to start a service (something similar to NET START ?). I could probably then start the scheduler service from another machine using the account name that I want it to run under....

If you install Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher on that machine it will install the new Task Scheduler. This no longer uses the account that the scheduler service is started with, but rather gives you the control that you are looking for.

After installing IE you will see a Scheduled Tasks folder. This is where you will be able to schedule these jobs to run.

Our next major release of Hyena will include full functionality for the new Task Scheduler, so for now you will need to use the above method to administer these jobs.

Make sure that you install the "Offline Browsing Pack" as this is the piece that contains this feature; not all IE5.0 systems have the Task Scheduler.
