  • Using a custom tool to hide an exchange address

Hi there, im aware of the way to hide users from the exchange address lists using hyena (see method below) however is there a way to edit the msExchHideFromAddressLists field using a custom tool? (accessible from the right click menu)
This would really speed up the process as i find myself doing this quite a bit. Thanks

Current Method:- "Select a few test users in Hyena's right-hand window.
Right-click and choose Manage Directory Attributes. Select the option to Show only these attributes, then in the right-hand window find the field called msExchHideFromAddressLists. Click on it and click the plus sign to move it to the left window, then click OK.
On the next dialog click Modify. On the next dialog you will select the users you want to modify, choose the option for True (to enable that setting), or False then click OK."

Starting with v8.0 there is a nice feature that will help this a lot. Go to File->Manage Object View->AD Queries and add that field to one of the queries, such as Users(Summary) for example.

To run that particular query double-click on All Users and in the right-hand window you should see a new column for that attribute. Select the users you want to modify then right-click over the column you want to modify and choose Modify Hide From AB.

This will take you directly to the dialog to choose True or False.
