Aladins Token Management Software brings some AD extensions and a mmc snapin. Although I can see a new field with "active directory users and computers" called "eToken" it is not visble with HYENA. What can I do to make it visible ?

We are working with adding extensions in our current beta, but have run into problems that Microsoft is looking into. So far, only some MIcrosoft extensions are visible, and the only 3rd party application that we knew about and were able to test (BioLogon from Identix...a fingerprint reader for user logons) also won't load.

To see if you can view the property page extensions for your application, try the beta and let us know what happens. To get the beta, send a blank email to [email protected].

The most recent beta revision also adds AD context MENU extensions, which you can see on the Shell Functions menu.

Let us know what happens.

thanks for your fast answer, we have an extension that works fine with Hyena. Its a message routing system called "MRS" from Cycos (http://www.cycos.com/). voice and fax messages with a connector in AD in cooperation with Exchange 2000. You get voice and fax messages in your exchange mailbox. Configured in "AD Users and Computers" with a field "MRS". MRS got its own user extensions for it.

But does the eToken extension work ?

yes, but only with "AD Users and computers".

Try your extension again in the latest beta (v6.6 'F') and let me know if it works now.

With "AD Users and Computers" the extensions is visible and works under "all tasks" - "TMS" with three functions:
"Enroll token", "replace lost token" and "recover damaged token". With Hyena 6.6 Rev.F I can only see two extensions under "Account functions" -"Shell functions". The "enroll token" is not visible. The user tab has a new field "eToken", which works.

The best way for me to further fix this would be to get one of these devices. Can you point me to the specific product that I can buy, assuming its a simple USB device or something that I can just install ?

Thanks for your help. It appears that we at least got pretty close in the last update to fully getting these extensions to work.

I've spoken with this vendor to see about getting their software for their TMS system for testing.

The vendor provided us with their software, and while I have not taken the time to get it to work, I did get it installed so that I can see the context menu extensions. I did see a few problems:

1.) The vendor adds their context menu as a sub-menu, which we did not expect. Hyena can't easily display the submenu, but we add a seperator bar between the menu options now, so it should be easy to read.

2.) In our case, we had the GPMC installed, and this also adds context menu extensions, and we found that each extension adds duplicate menu IDs, which we did not expect. So, there wasn't a way for Hyena to know that menu extension ID #1 had menu option #1 and that went to extension A vs. extension B. We fixed this problem too.

Please let me know if the latest revision of the beta has functional context menu extensions for this product now.

hello, with Hyena 6.6 Beta Rev. G all works fine, even the "lost" submenu.
